Swell society of Rio-de-Janeiro is gradual also began to dance this dance, it was changed although, that it would be possible to dance in the closed dancing position (which was considered uniquely possible and correct). The dance was named Zemba Queca, and was described in 1885 as " elegant Brazilian dance".
The origin of the name "Samba" does not clear, although "Zambo" means "child from a negro and local (Brazilian) woman"(mulatto). Later dance was incorporated with Maxixe. It is Brazilian circular dance, described as Two Step. Maxixe was known in the USA at the beginning of the twentieth century.
